Introducing our client, General Bandages

Home of Gauztex –

The tape that doesn’t stick

General Bandages manufactures self-adhering tape for industrial and mechanical safety, sports, medical & veterinarian applications. For the past eight decades General Bandages, Inc., has stuck around pioneering self-adhesive products that stick to themselves, and not to your skin.

Over the last 88 years, Gauztex has reinvented itself. Or, we should say, our client’s customers have found new and clever ways to use it. What started sort of by accident as a coated gauze wrap, is now used for everything from mending vines, branches and tree trunks to protecting and cushioning the fingers and toes of musicians, machinists, ballerinas, and football players to name just a few. Dwight D. Eisenhower even used Gauztex to give his golf clubs better cushion and hold.

And, we’re guessing you have never heard of the self-adhering tape that has been around since 1930. However, if you’ve ever had an IV, or had a sprain, strain, or injury, chances are Gauztex was used by medical professionals to treat you.

We helped our client strategize, reinvent, repackage and remarket itself directly to the type of applications where it’s customers use it. Bee-line Communications, reimagined their place in the online marketplaces and how they matter to the e-commerce retailers that love the conversion rates these products achieve. What started almost by accident as a coated gauze wrap, is now used for everything from mending vines and tree trunks to protecting and cushioning the fingers and toes of musicians, machinists, ballerinas, and football players to name just a few.

Try Gauztex out, and you’ll wonder how you have lived without it.
